Yes it’s nearly Advent and the narcissi paperwhites are blooming already, their strong scent is not everyone s choice but the look amazing with crisp white petals and egg yolk centre. Just one stem added to a bunch of other blooms makes fabulous display. Available from us at # thefloweracre, Tollerton

Flowers cut ready for tomorrow’s arrangements, maybe a slight frost tonight so as a good girl guide am being prepared!! Wedding enquiries to sort, still a trend for DIY flower buckets for 2018.
A very busy week planting up requested flowers or 2018 weddings, Easter is early so the wedding season starts mid March. Lots of tulips, narcissus and mascari in the ground, sweetpeas growing well, and sign of mice YET!!!
Some of my gorgeous flowers used by Mandy at blossomsyork for a wedding last month in York minster beautifully coordinated.
The flower patch is full of fabulous autumnal ornamental grass seed heads, which are a delight for flower arrangers. Seedheads come in so many shapes, sizes and colours, great for weddings, events giving structure and style to a creation
What a fantastic sunny day it’s been here in the Vale of York. Dahlias loving the sun, hardy annuals growing well. We need more days like this!
