A full Sunday planting bulbs, last of the narcissi in and some early tulips. Apricot delight, Christmas pearl, apricot beauty to name but a few. My first paperwhites narcissus are starting to flower, very early but so fragrant so don’t mind #Fragrantflowers #Locallygrown #Yorkshireflowers autumnal#sunshine #extrahour
Broken beautiful dahlias snapped off in their prime Brian has alot to answer for the weekend!
Spent most of today clearing up the workshop/prep area, packing things away clean and tidy for spring. The Flower growing season is coming to an end so outdoor clearing can begin at the weekend, when the rain stops! The last of my wonderful zinnias picked this morning, they brighten up such a dull day.
Bouquet of sumptuous pink shades of blooms for today’s delivery
Busy day planting seeds with anticipation of what’s to come in 2018. Will they won’t they germinate. Trying different seeding compost, using heated propagation. Lots to consider.
Lots of fabulous flowers for the harvest festival this week, no frosts yet so dahlias, anemones. Scabious, cosmos zinnias and many others still growing strong.
Lots happening today, more bulbs going in, buttonholes for wedding, thankfully no frost last night! The dahlias survive for another day.
Flowers cut ready for tomorrow’s arrangements, maybe a slight frost tonight so as a good girl guide am being prepared!! Wedding enquiries to sort, still a trend for DIY flower buckets for 2018.
A very busy week planting up requested flowers or 2018 weddings, Easter is early so the wedding season starts mid March. Lots of tulips, narcissus and mascari in the ground, sweetpeas growing well, and sign of mice YET!!!
